Words of wisdom you can implement in a minute or less!
“If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?” – John Wooden
Attention Managers:
John Wooden was an American basketball player and became one of of the best coaches in college basketball history. Nicknamed the “Wizard of Westwood,” as head coach at UCLA he won ten NCAA national championships. I love the game of basketball as a metaphor for the agility, flexibility and presence required in today’s busy workplaces. Few sports are as “in the moment” as basketball. But to be free to respond in the moment, you have to do your prep and practice in advance. Like it says in the lead article above, taking just ten minutes to think ahead can put you in control of your game.
