When I wrote my book Managing the Moment in 2013, “virtual” interaction meant mostly conference calls and, occasionally, video meetings beamed from one conference room to another.
My next big adventure is to write a second edition to my book to cover the do’s and don’ts of virtual presence and communication, and I’d love to hear your ideas, observations and stories!
What have you noticed people doing well?
Have you seen excellent examples of lighting or background? What were they?
Have you noticed someone do a great job of looking at the camera when appropriate?
How about people’s voices? What have you heard that really stood out and captured your attention?
Likewise, what have been the big distractors during virtual meetings?
Lack of facial expression when speaking or just listening?
Poor camera angle or dim lighting?
Your input will help make this edition even more valuable! Please click on the link below to share your stories, and do let me know if you want to be anonymous or if I can use your name. YOU could receive a FREE copy of the second edition!
